Ayurveda, a natural system of medicine, originated in India more than 5,000 years ago. The term Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit words Ayur means life and Veda means Science Thus, Ayurveda translates to science of life. Ayurveda is a union between body mind and the spirit . The balance in body’s brought about by lifestyle modification, detoxification, using a unique blend of herbs tailored or custamized according to the needs and by custamized diet or meal plan.Ayurveda believe every person is made of five basic elements found in the universe: space, air, fire, water, and earth.

These combine in the human body to form three bio force or energies, called doshas. They control how your body works. They are Vata dosha (space and air); Pitta dosha (fire and water); and Kapha dosha (water and earth).

These doshas are made up of 20 gunas describes 5 Elements this gunas are categorized in to 10 opposing qualities. A balance of the Gunas is always to maintain homeostasis and optimal health. The more you learn about your personal Dosha balance, the easier it becomes to use the Gunas in everyday life to affect your own well-being.
The characteristic of THREE DOSHAS
VATA dominant people are:
Generally thin and tall built, hard to gain weight, have lots of energy, pulsed with sudden periods of fatigue. Often with dry skin and hair, paired with cold hands and feet, vata’s tend to sleep lightly and wake easily.digestion is irregular and scanty often suffer from constipation. When imbalanced, this body type can manifest in weight loss, weakness, hypertension, and restlessness
Pitta dominant people are
Generally athletic build and moderate well defined muscles, very sharp and intellect, Good in grasping, digestion is good with strong metabolism, skin generally oily and prone to breakouts, hey like to be in control and at the centre of attention, they are are determined, ambitious and highly intelligent, are always leaders, well organized, deep sleeper,
Kapha dominant people:
With broad shoulder, heavier built , with dense eyes, bulky hair, they are slow, steady and loves to eat and sleep, don’t like to exercise, day dreamer, appetite is regular, digestion in slow, despite being hard-working people, they also have a tendency to be lazy. They have good memory. When all the three doshas are in balance there is no sign of disease.by following the regimens mentioned in ayurvedic text about
- Dinacharya- daily routine,
- Hritucharya – following seasonal routines,
- Pacnhakarma – detoxing
- Daily practice of yoga, pranayama, mediatation and
- eating healthy freshfood made on daily basis, avoiding processed food, frozenfood, canned food one can maintain balnce of all three doashas in body.
